Dog sledding isn’t just a sleigh ride: it’s a real sport! You work and the dogs work with you.
That’s why it isn’t for everyone, and rightly so.
And there’s one thing we want to tell you honestly.
Driving a sled requires the use of hands, arms and legs, good eyesight and the ability to understand the briefing and put into practice what we explain to you. The musher has to: keep the sled balanced, give the commands to the team and, when needed, help push uphill. This calls for physical stamina for about an hour, with moderate effort. Some conditions, such as an ongoing pregnancy, a recent fracture, prostheses or physical or motor limitations, do not allow safe driving. If this applies to you, write to us before booking: sometimes the solution is to ride as a passenger, sometimes it’s to skip it. We decide together. No prejudice, no discrimination: our only priorities are safety and well-being, first for our dogs and then for everyone taking part.

After 15 minutes of briefing, the sled is yours. Hands on the handlebar, feet on the runners and voice commands: the Huskies run, but you’re the one driving them. The instructor is always there to assist you, leading the way at the front.
Here you’ll find only purebred Siberian Huskies with a pedigree, with eyes ranging from ice blue to amber brown, and a unique character, all to discover.
For over 30 years we’ve worked every day with our Siberian Huskies and guided thousands of people on the snow. Throughout the whole experience, your instructor is right there, leading at the front: all you have to do is listen, trust, put the briefing into practice and enjoy the experience with complete peace of mind.

Our champions
A family of thirty different personalities: from the champions on the trail to the retired elders the group still respects. Each one has a name, a story and a few flaws we don’t hide.
Daughter of Yakatee and Nerina (II). You were born in a litter we expected a lot from, and we weren’t disappointed! You’re a solid little dog, shy and reserved, who saves her best for a lucky few. Despite your young age, you’re one of the few with the maturity and character to lead a whole pack on your own. You don’t like having a partner at your side; you’re a true “leader”. Everyone else’s place? Only behind you.
No name was ever more fitting (“Veleno” means “Poison”). You’re a discreet, reserved type. This name comes from a little dog who mattered to Luca, and it seemed perfect to reuse for you: an all-black pup with heterochromatic eyes, stunningly beautiful. You’re that dog who makes people say “surely this all-black one isn’t a husky?”. Yes, he is! The breed standard allows the Siberian’s coat to range from pure white to solid black!
Beautiful as Venus, you too come from far-off Belarus. Your piebald coat and your brown eyes bewitched us from the start. You have a unique way of communicating; very often it feels like we’re actually talking with you, a mind all your own: Strangers? Not a fan. On the sled? A blend of speed and intelligence… you’re our Jet Plane! But when it’s a bad day… as they say in Piedmontese, “t’ses cuntra le boie”, and you treat us to your finest sulk!
Known as the “King of Jesters”. You came to us after a seizure by the ASL (the local health authority), and from the very start you proved incredibly playful and fun. Work was a real discovery for you! When we came back from our first outing with you, during an autumn training session, we read on your little face that you’d understood what you were truly born for. And from then on, your way of living in the pack changed too!

Since 1995
Lots of snow and a single husky pulling a bobsled down a slope. I’m Luca Chiarelli, the founder, and that’s how my adventure began.
It was 1995, there was no internet, and you couldn’t find any information about this fascinating dog.
More than 30 years have passed since that day, and we’ve reached our twentieth season in Sestriere.
