OUR CHAMPIONS

Each one has a name and a story. And we know them all, one by one.

Before they're the experience you come to live, they're a pack: 30 different personalities, with strengths and flaws we don't hide. Here we introduce them to you just as we know them. And we don't want to forget those who are no longer with us: they live on in our memories, and they made the history of The Husky Experience.

THE PACK TODAY

30 dogs, each with its own character

Some still run every day, others are enjoying their retirement: they're all part of the same family.

Alaska

Alaska

Daughter of the extraordinary Nerina, now 14, you're enjoying your well-earned retirement. Respected by everyone and teacher to many, you're a pillar of the pack. Your ice-coloured eyes have made many of the humans who've met you fall in love. To us you're "The Ravenous One", the one who could eat 10 bowls a day and would still find room for a few extra kibbles!

Balto (II)

Balto (II)

You too have a red coat, like your predecessor. And besides, what pack of sled dogs could go without its own Balto? Your name was already chosen when we met you; you're the pack's sentinel. You really don't like strangers, and you carefully warn us whenever someone comes closer than allowed. You're the exception that proves the rule, our guard Husky!

Casper

Casper

When you were born you were the palest of the whole litter, and that's exactly where your name comes from, Casper like the little ghost! You're extraordinarily beautiful, calm, gentle; you represent the perfection of the breed. There are two fixed points in your life: the sled outings and your inseparable brother Cougar.

Cash

Cash

You became a web star in a video that went viral, with you rolling in the snow. You make us laugh when you get up on two legs, but you're also a true sled professional with a pure white coat.

Cindy

Cindy

Our "sweet" little dog par excellence, all cuddles and little kisses.

Cougar

Cougar

Strangers smile when they hear your name. We admire your true-athlete build and that little mask that makes you look like a real "tough guy" — but it actually hides a big dog with a truly tender heart…

Dusty

Dusty

You get our day started with a smile with your greeting, your unmistakable "Oh Wow"! Now 11, you're the classic "Peter Pan"; who knows whether we'll ever see you grown up, or whether you'll always be the same exuberant, unstoppable Dusty?

Electra

Electra

Known as "Elinor · Elidor" — she's tiny, with a little wolf-cub face, a heart 10 times bigger than she is, just like her craving for cuddles. When you're "happy happy" your tail seems to start up like the blades of a helicopter :)

Fire

Fire

Red like fire and like your energy! What can ruin your day? Only having to take a pill… and to us it feels like wrestling a lion! Incredible… Over the years you've perfected some truly outstanding refusal techniques.

Flipper

Flipper

Known as "Pipetu". Your leaps and zoomies looked like those of a dolphin out at sea when you first arrived… We know little about your past, and maybe that's exactly what makes you shy with strangers. With us you're now one and the same, a real limpet stuck to its rock!

Honey

Honey

You're the striking copy of your mum Juno, sweet and solid through and through.

Jack

Jack

For you too the working seasons are over, and now you enjoy your retirement together with your friend Kiruna and your sister Alaska. Your blindness has never been a problem for you: you were a sled dog like the rest of the pack. You ran tirelessly, always surprising us with how the disability you live with never made you "different". Now you like to scare us by taking naps that are a little too deep ;)

Jupiter

Jupiter

"Wisdom and Expansion", and that's exactly what you are! A tireless worker, extraordinarily gifted, both physically and mentally. You don't like being challenged, but your authoritative character has made you a perfect "uncle" to Nitro and Veleno, who grew up under your wing — so much so that they've formed a bond that's unique and rare to see between males.

Kiruna

Kiruna

Together with your sister Apache you came to us as adults, after a bad situation the "Siberian Husky Rescue" saved you from. You have a strong character, you're upright and you were a reliable worker. Now, in retirement, you're grumpier and more demanding.

Nadyr

Nadyr

Just like your brother Yukon, a big dog with a heart of gold, one of the few "wheel" females in the pack. You love your role and your work, even more when you're paired with your brother. There's only one thing that truly scares you: fireworks. One bang is enough and, for you, every sense of safety vanishes…

Nerina (II)

Nerina (II)

When you and your siblings were born, old Nerina had just left us. You, a little ball of black fur with white socks, could only take her name! Your gifts and your sweet-yet-firm character have since done honour to Nerina, the founder!

Nitro

Nitro

Why did we name you this? Because you weren't even 2 months old and you were an explosive concentrate of energy, just like nitroglycerine! Son of Nerina (II) and Yakatee, you're an extraordinarily beautiful dog with a wonderful character, as fiery as you are sweet. Distinguishing features? A piece of your tail is missing: mum Nerina, on her very first experience, was a little rough at birth!

Roxy

Roxy

Daughter of Yakatee and Nerina (II). You were born in a litter we expected a lot from, and we weren't disappointed! You're a solid little dog, shy and reserved, who saves her best for a lucky few. Despite your young age, you're one of the few with the maturity and character to lead a whole pack on your own. You don't like having a partner at your side; you're a true "leader". Everyone else's place? Only behind you.

Ruby (II)

Ruby (II)

When we met you, you immediately reminded us of our historic Ruby; you're identical to her in everything: the colour of your coat, your little eyes, your shy and reserved character — so your name could only be hers. Thank you for delighting us every day with your twerking and your funny little squeaks!

Snooky

Snooky

From "snowflake", like the whiteness of your silvery coat when you arrived with us at 2 months old. A well-balanced dog, the perfect husky everyone imagines.

Storm

Storm

"Storm", and the grey of your coat couldn't tell it any better. You came from far-off Belarus together with your brother Thunder, and since then we've never seen you two apart. Together you're a burst of energy, with an unstoppable urge to run that never fades.

Tango

Tango

A young talent; we're watching you grow and mature. You're turning out to be an excellent leader, reliable and tireless.

Thunder

Thunder

"Thunder", and you're black as the sky just before it breaks. You too come from far-off Belarus: wherever your brother Storm is, there you are. We watch you set off together and understand every time why we named you this way — pure energy, and a beauty that enchants.

Vega

Vega

(Alpha Lyrae) is the brightest star in the constellation Lyra and the fifth brightest in the night sky — in short, an important name for an important little dog… She arrived from the Netherlands in the middle of COVID. I think few dogs have tested us the way you have; your stubbornness is something astonishing! Renamed "Miss Rottenmeier", for you there's only one way to do things: YOUR way!

Veleno

Veleno

No name was ever more fitting ("Veleno" means "Poison"). You're a discreet, reserved type. This name comes from a little dog who mattered to Luca, and it seemed perfect to reuse for you: an all-black pup with heterochromatic eyes, stunningly beautiful. You're that dog who makes people say "surely this all-black one isn't a husky?". Yes, he is! The breed standard allows the Siberian's coat to range from pure white to solid black!

Venus

Venus

Beautiful as Venus, you too come from far-off Belarus. Your piebald coat and your brown eyes bewitched us from the start. You have a unique way of communicating; very often it feels like we're actually talking with you, a mind all your own: Strangers? Not a fan. On the sled? A blend of speed and intelligence… you're our Jet Plane! But when it's a bad day… as they say in Piedmontese, "t'ses cuntra le boie", and you treat us to your finest sulk!

Wendy

Wendy

How to describe you? "A peculiar character", full of opposites: "sweet and stern", overflowing with those you love and wary of everyone else. Your unknown past doesn't make things easy for us, but you certainly give us — and will keep giving us — great satisfaction.

Wilson

Wilson

Known as the "King of Jesters". You came to us after a seizure by the ASL (the local health authority), and from the very start you proved incredibly playful and fun. Work was a real discovery for you! When we came back from our first outing with you, during an autumn training session, we read on your little face that you'd understood what you were truly born for. And from then on, your way of living in the pack changed too!

Yakatee

Yakatee

Son of Alaska, a leader with extraordinary gifts, like his mum and grandmother Nerina. You can instil confidence in any dog placed beside you; you're an extraordinary teacher, patient and calm. The pack holds you in the deepest respect, and seeing you grow old is a blow to the heart. Still, you're always cheerful and proud, and that lightens things a little for us. Reserved with strangers, a real limpet with us! You're undoubtedly one of those dogs born "once every so many years".

Yukon

Yukon

We saw you young and tireless; you were a strong, energetic big dog. Now we watch you grow older, becoming a little slower, a little more of a cuddler — but your big brown eyes always look at us with that heartbreaker's gaze.

FROM BEYOND THE RAINBOW BRIDGE 🌈 (11 DOGS)

They're no longer here, but they stay in the pack

Eleven dogs who made the history of The Husky Experience, and whom we never stop thanking.

Abby

Abby

We always told you that you bet everything on charm; we'll never be able to forget your "Baauu", your sweetness and your extraordinary strength. Despite your hypothyroidism you always gave everything — and then a little more! A lovely little warrior.

Andy

Andy

Until recently you held the record as "the longest-lived in the pack"; you'd become our "Methuselah". Watching you work was extraordinary; you were a fantastic teacher for the pack's youngsters.

Apache

Apache

You came to us rescued from a bad situation by a rescue association, when you were already an adult, together with your beloved sister Kiruna. It took time to understand you and to make you trust someone again… When you opened your heart to us, we discovered our "Sweet but Psyco". You left an indelible mark on us; we hope we did the same for you!

Balto (I)

Balto (I)

You were "The Siberian Husky": sweet, fun, everyone's friend and devoted to your greatest passion — pulling the sled. You made us laugh so much with your funny positions and your tireless chatter.

Juno

Juno

With you it's hard to choose what to say… We'll choose the words of our vet, Melania: "To me you embodied the soul of the Siberian Husky. Sweet and free, always dignified, even when your illness began to show severely. Beautiful." We'll add that you were an extraordinary mother, and that you left us your wonderful, numerous little ones as a legacy!

Kodiak

Kodiak

You were part of the magical trio of the "Three Musketeers" together with your brothers. Fate wasn't kind to you: it tore you from the pack too soon and unexpectedly. We can only remember you for your immense energy, for your urge to run and for that extra pinch of stubbornness…

Nerina (I)

Nerina (I)

The one who made the history of The Husky Experience. A true leader: extraordinary, as sweet and affectionate as she was fearless and stern.

Ruby (I)

Ruby (I)

Your name comes from the ruby, like the colour of your coat. Reserved with those who couldn't win your heart, extraordinarily sweet with those lucky enough to earn that honour.

Scurry

Scurry

Sweet and unassuming, you were the Grandfather of many generations. Your patience, your calm and your endless desire to play raised the youngest ones, who always knew they could find a safe harbour in you.

Winnie

Winnie

Your sweet-sounding name fooled many! You were solid through and through and not one to compromise, always ready to stand your ground.

Yaki

Yaki

This is how we remember you: a tireless worker with a great passion for the "young ladies" of the pack!

THE BONDS

A family, not a dog park

Nerina, Alaska, Yakatee, Nitro, Roxy and Veleno: four generations of the same line. Juno and her daughter Honey. Casper and Cougar, inseparable. Thunder and Storm, who arrived together from Belarus. Kiruna and Apache, rescued together. These are bonds of blood and of life that tell, better than any words, that here the dogs are a family.

COME AND MEET THEM

Would you like to meet them in person?

The best way to meet them is to get on a sled, drive them, and launch onto the snow together with them.
